Mr. Local History’s New Jersey Cat’s Meow Keepsake collection is at 30 keepsakes and counting. Each site or event is a special piece of art on front with the history on the back. The New Jersey Historic Village Collection’s goal is to promote local history throughout New Jersey. The Cat’s Meow is one of the world’s most iconic collectible series. Mr. Local History started back in 2018.

UPDATE:

We are so happy to announce that the White Manna in Hackensack, along with the Westfield Fire House and Jolly Trolley, the Basking Ridge Christmas Eve 100th Sing Anniversary, the Barnegat Lighthouse aka Barney, have all been added to the New Jersey Historic Village keepsake collection, bringing the total to 30 New Jersey collectibles.

The wood painted collectible series honoring historic iconic buildings, properties, and fixtures that are part of the historic fabric of New Jersey’s history. Each keepsake was selected based on community feedback and a voting process. We’re really excited to see how the public reacts to the next additions to this historic series. Factors for selection into the NJ collection include the age of the event or property, the connection to the existing collection, local interest and voting (where applicable). The Cat’s Meow Village is a small American company founded in Wooster, Ohio in 1982 starting with one simple wooden house Faline cutout on her grandfather’s saw in the loft of the hog barn. 35 years later, Jones with her crew continues to craft “little wooden buildings” of local, national, and international landmarks that spark memories and kindle smiles on the faces of “real life adventurers” like you.
