The Field at the Far Hills Fairgrounds is named after J. Belcher of Far Hills

Retrospective: Belcher- Moggy Hollow – Buck Gardens and the Far Hills Fairgrounds

The 12-acre locale in Far Hills, New Jersey, known as the J. Malcolm Belcher Fairgrounds, holds a significant place in local history. Named after James Malcolm Belcher, former mayor, WWII veteran, and influential community figure, the area now serves as a host venue for various annual events, and embodies rich historical connection, dating back beyond the town’s formation in 1921.

After our post about Jersey crumb cake we thought it's now lunchtime - what do you think about a crumb cake smash burger? Committed Pig in Motown has a glazed donut burger.... thoughts?

Add it to the list of Jersey sandwiches invented in New Jersey
Take a look: Don't worry, it's photoshopped and not real.....YET! 🙂

Weekend morning coffee and a little local history - Bernardsville's St. Bernard's church is as local as you can get. From it's construction in the late 1800s to the 21st century adaptive reuse and transformation. Love this history story!

For our Basking Ridge and Bernardsville followers:

We found a great story we wrote years ago about the lost sandpit of Basking Ridge, a popular hangout spot back in the 1980s. We are still looking for anyone with photos to share and a quote to add to the collection.
