Wreaths Across America – Saturday, December 13

The Mr. Local History Project Volunteers will be at the Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church and the Somerset Hills Cemetery in Basking Ridge this Saturday, December 13, 2025. If you’re in the area and would like to help, please feel free to stop by sometime after 12 pm.

Wreaths Across America will return to Basking Ridge on December 13, 2025 as part of the national day of remembrance that honors all who served. At 12 pm, two local ceremonies will take place, one at Somerset Hills Memorial Park on Mt Airy Road and the other at the historic Presbyterian Church cemetery in the village. Volunteers will then place wreaths across the resting places of local veterans, continuing a tradition that ties our town to communities nationwide.

The Mission: Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

For the Mr Local History Project, this moment connects directly to Operation Armed Services Honor Roll, reinforcing the mission to recognize active service members and veterans with dignity and gratitude. Each wreath is a reminder that behind every name is a life of service, courage, and sacrifice, and Basking Ridge remains committed to remembering those stories year after year.

Those wishing to sponsor a wreath or volunteer can visit the official Wreaths Across America pages for Somerset Hills Memorial Park and the Presbyterian Church of Basking Ridge. Both locations offer online sign-up, volunteer registration, and wreath sponsorship options. A simple search for “Wreaths Across America Somerset Hills Memorial Park” or “Wreaths Across America Basking Ridge Presbyterian Church” will take you directly to the correct pages so you can be part of the 2025 remembrance.
