Keepsakes: Preserving Westfield New Jersey history is a Treasure

Congratulations to the Westfield Fire Department as Westfield celebrates the 150th year.

150th Anniversary of the Westfield Fire Department with a parade and community festival on Saturday, June 21, 2025:

• Parade kicks off at 11:00 AM, beginning at North Avenue & East Broad Street, heading east through downtown, making loops back toward the Armory
• After the march (around midday), a celebration runs from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Westfield Armory (500 Rahway Ave), featuring live music, food trucks, historic displays, kids’ activities, auctions, and more

New Westfield Cat’s Meow Collectibles

The Governor of New Jersey’s Historic Village has been working to preserve and promote Westfield, New Jersey’s history with what we call “history with a social twist.” The simple truth is we partnered with the world-famous Cat’s Meow Village to create historical memories of Westfield while adding the history of those icons on the back of each keepsake. The goal is that we hope you showcase your keepsakes, which in turn share the history of these vivid childhood memories, marriage, drinking/eating, and movie-going!
