Cranford Canoe Races at the Canoe Club a July 4th Tradition

It’s the 4th of July, and that means community canoe races in Cranford, New Jersey. Come witness a historic event on the Rahway River, the annual Canoe Races and Marathon at the historic Cranford Canoe Club. Racing begins at 10:00 a.m. Please park wherever you can, as the lot typically fills up. You can sign up right there, so there’s no need to worry about pre-registration.

In 1909, canoeing races were held on Labor Day; however, they are now held on Independence Day.
Did you know that Cranford, New Jersey, is nicknamed the “Venice of New Jersey?” TRUE.
