Memorial Day Tribute

Honoring those we’ve lost and those veterans who have served. 2025 Bernards Township Parade updates are below the tribute video.

Soldiers showcased in the video who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their country:

  1. Lieutenant Austin P. Spencer, USNA c1943, was lost at sea while on a submarine search mission in the North Atlantic.
  2. Captain Robert Terry – Flight instructor for Tuskegee Airmen 1941-1945
  3. Amelia Grabarczyk and her three servicemen sons – 1944. Left to Right, Frank Grabarczyk, USN, Anthony Grabarczyk, USN, Peter Grabarczyk, USM
  4. Sergeant George E Brush of Basking Ridge, 1944, was KIA on Guadalcanal in 1944.
  5. Sergeant William B. Neill KIA in St. Michiel, France on September 30, 1918.
  6. Captain Stanford (Ford) Henry Shaw III, a 2002 graduate of Ridge High School in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, tragically lost his life in a military helicopter crash during a training exercise in Florida on March 10, 2015.
  7. Bernards Township Militia, c1919. Supported and supplied by John A. Roebling and trained by Lieutenant Joseph Dobbs.
