Mr. Local History Releases its Latest Online Magazine – Vol 1 Issue 3

We call this the “the Back to School Issue”

The Mr. Local History project has been working hard to produce the next issue of our magazine that combines news, stories, and feature posts about the area’s local history in the Somerset Hills area of New Jersey. This month’s cover showcases what was known as the “one room classroom”.

The Somerset Hills is full of the history of the one room classroom, as well as Academy’s that you may have never known about. Teachers rules from back in 1872 were fun to look at, as well as those for the students of the time.

Lastly we’ve started a campaign to raise awareness of our local history and are calling it the #growlocalhistory project. Third Graders in New Jersey Public Schools are taught New Jersey history. We’re trying to raise enough money to donate coloring books to every 3rd grader in the Somerset Hills.

Just click the magazine cover to read this issue.
Enjoy.

We hope you enjoy our “Back to School” issue. Just click the image to load – no mailing, no postage!
