Garden State’s Top Historic Gardens and Estates

April 14th is National Garden Day every year, so make sure you get out there and enjoy observing nature’s beauty!

While the Mr. Local History Project typically focuses on historical research, stories, and events, we figured one great tour might be how to get out there and see some of the greatest spring gardens tied to New Jersey History. Here are a few we’ve found that we’d love to share with those in the Jersey State. After all, it is called “the Garden State” for a reason.

This is an Interactive Map of the best historic gardens in New Jersey. Save this page as a shortcut on your phone and visit as many as possible. Spring is the most beautiful time in the Garden State. In the comments section at the end of the post, let us know if you have a favorite (and why).
